Nailed it! Our Dream Family Set 😂 Matt and I in our Let’s Play School homeschool mom & Disney’s Guest Relations era ❤️

This is a time in our lives that I know I’m going to miss so much one day. In the midst of it all, it feels hard. Matt works nights at Epcot mostly (hello, please send help at bedtime…). I drive the kids around to their activities like it is my actual full-time job being their Uber driver.

But really. I love that they have all of their activities, experiences and friends. I love getting to be the one to tuck them in a night.

This trend is definitely so silly. But also - so fun. And a realization that - look how awesome this life is. Matt gets to work at @waltdisneyworld and I get to hang out with and homeschool our babies while I help other families homeschool their babies. My @riflepaperco mug and laptop like they’re actual limbs. We definitely aren’t as perfect as the dolls in this box, and thank God for that! We live one crazy messy life… but it sure is beautiful ❤️ perfect in our own way 🥰

So many skills! And they had FUN! We were playing the whole morning. We spent an hour and a half on our Play & Learn time and covered so much!

You don’t have to dedicate hours and hours to it a day. I spend a few hours prepping it for the month over the weekend and we have a whole MONTH of learning! A month of learning for just $15. That’s like $.50 a day to teach ALL of your kids preschool - 5th grade. That’s insane!

$15 is less than a trip to McDonalds and you’re getting a month of curriculum for your child and QUALITY time together. Doesn’t get better than that. I’d take that over a cheeseburger any day!

Friends! Come join the Play & Learn Club!

Our members are LOVING this month’s theme, next month is Pets & Vets followed by Honeybee Hive. You’re not going to want to miss all the goodness!

I’ve been loving these zipper pouches to organize their games. Each month when I prep our Play & Learn Club games I organize them into piles for each child. Liam (6) has a few of the preschool games I make more difficult for him and then a bunch from our Lower Elementary set. Lucy (8) is playing games from our Lower and Upper Elementary sets. And Lilly Belle (11) is using our Upper Elementary games! I love giving them their own color pouches so they know exactly what to grab.

When it’s learning time they can choose whatever they want! I try to make sure they aren’t choosing all math games or all LA games; we mix it up. They love the freedom of choosing their lessons. And once they master a skill or game for the month, I put it away, OR give it to another sibling if they want it.

There are always 30 printable learning games to choose from so it gives the kids so much variety all month! This month our kids are using our Play & Learn Club, Book Explorer Guides, and Explode the Code - nothing else!

We have one kiddo working on division and mastering multiplication facts, one child focused on learning grammar and parts of speech, and one starting to get a real grasp on addition and numbers to 100.

I can breathe easy knowing their learning is FUN, they don’t complain about school time, and they’re growing so much!

They’ve really never gone to school? Nope! Sad…

Sad? Anything BUT! This homeschool life is pure magic! And the friends they do have are their exact perfect people. It’s kind of been amazing.

I wish I had clips from their weekly ASL Club lately, because those friendships forming there have been pretty magical, too.

Our kids are some of the most social kids I know. They love their friends more than anything in the world. Well, right under their siblings.

I’ve been seeing friends do this and I love it. 20 special memories from March 2025:

1. Lucy Lu started speech therapy 2x / week and loves it!
2. The kids spend so much of their time playing outside with our neighbors and their dog friend, Matilda
3. Lilly Belle sang at church
4. So. Many. Auditions.
5. Matt started his new job in Guest Relations at Epcot
6. I worked a lot.
7. We had a fun family night at Magic Kingdom
8. Lilly Belle started rehearsals for Anastasia
9. Lucy and Liam enjoyed lots of playground time while Sissy is in rehearsals
10. Mommy started ADHD medicine and the kids loved all the new quality time together - so much school getting done - Lucy’s a big fan
11. We lost our best doggy friend - Lucy took it the hardest - learned about the importance of grief and letting the grief come even when it’s the worst feeling to have - and even if it lasts longer than you wish it would
12. We celebrated Liam’s 6th birthday with friends
13. We spent the day at Kennedy Space Center on his actual birthday
14. Lucy finished Explode the Code 4 (big deal over here) and started book 5 - it will be the thing the kids talk about when they’re 35… remember that weird reading book mom made us do that was from like 1970 but we all loved it?
15. We visited Mickey & daddy again!
16. The kids started voice lessons at their new vocal studio and got to have a Wicked movie night with friends
17. We had a spontaneous breakfast for dinner outside night with neighbor besties
18. Lilly Belle had a blast in the recording studio
19. Lilly Belle got to be part of her cast photoshoot and felt like a real princess as Young Anastasia
20. I started tutoring kids teaching them how to read and it has brought me so much joy!

Not shown: Lucy’s pure joy at discovering she can hit a C5 in a belt on an E vowel - it’s now the biggest deal around here 😂

April is already off to a great start, but I loved the idea of honoring all the good that March brought. Some REALLY bad days snuck in there and it’s important to remember ALL of this good. So much good. ❤️

I’m excited for April! We’re in Matt’s final countdown to graduating from UCF! 🎉

It’s been a pretty beautiful adventure 🥹 Want to know what I’ll never ever regret? The hours staying up late setting up the sensory bins, learning shelves, and hands-on activities so that they’d wake up excited to learn in the morning. The time it took to make the kids a pretend tree for their Apple theme. The thousands of hours spent PLAYING with them.

Their childhood has been pretty special ❤️ And it’s nowhere near over yet.

Excited for all that the next 8 years of Let’s Play School will bring. In 8 years, our kids will be 19, 16 & 14. These “play” years are closing and I’m doing all I can to soak it up and throw my heart and soul into making it magic ⭐️

It’s been a pretty beautiful adventure 🥹 Want to know what I’ll never ever regret? The hours staying up late setting up the sensory bins, learning shelves, and hands-on activities so that they’d wake up excited to learn in the morning. The time it took to make the kids a pretend tree for their Apple theme. The thousands of hours spent PLAYING with them.

Their childhood has been pretty special ❤️ And it’s nowhere near over yet.

Excited for all that the next 8 years of Let’s Play School will bring. In 8 years, our kids will be 19, 16 & 14. These “play” years are closing and I’m doing all I can to soak it up and throw my heart and soul into making it magic ⭐️

Our kids have a pretty unique childhood growing up a mile from Magic Kingdom with their daddy and so many of their friends’ parents working at @waltdisneyworld ❤️

They get so excited to find Matt in the parks! We go just so we can say hi. The kids love watching him interact with guests; they’re so proud of him! Tonight as we were standing there a family came up to him and the two little kids ran to him to thank him for helping them get on an attraction and going on and on about how much fun they had. I teared up knowing we may be doing our original plan a little in reverse, but Matt is now doing the job he dreamt of doing when we were dating. And he’s killing it! It’s never too late to do what makes you happy!

Being hired in Guest Relations at Disney is not easy. These Cast Members are the best of the best in customer service. The interview process was not easy and thousands of cast members apply every year. We’re just really proud of him.

So yep. The kids had fun meeting Mickey tonight, but it was nothing compared to the memories they’re making getting to visit their daddy at the coolest job ever 🥰

Our baby is 6! It’s the first birthday of his that I haven’t cried. I feel at complete peace about him being my baby, my forever baby. I finally feel at complete peace about the kids getting older and this stage of life we’re all in.

Liam is such an incredible little boy. He is patient, calm, stays in his own lane, keeps the peace, loves his siblings fiercely, and amazes us everyday with his ability to create and engineer.

I’m so lucky to be his mommy and watch him grow! We love you so so much, Liam Casey! 🥹❤️

I started cutting Liam’s birthday cake. I asked him which piece he wanted. It only then felt natural for me to ask the next child which piece they wanted. And I just kept going. My friend Valerie giggled and noted how much this was turning into a very Chelsea cake.

It’s stuck with me all day and makes me so happy. I have a lot of pictures of me with the kids. A lot of pictures of me as a mom. But guys.. I think this one pretty much sums up me as a mom in a nutshell.

A little bit of chaos. But with purpose. Purposeful chaos.

There are so many times I need to decide things FOR them. All day long. But as often as I can, they make the decisions around here. In a safe and healthy way. Is cutting the cake in the most random way known to man hurting them? Nope. Did it put them in any kind of danger? Nope.

It gave each child a little bit of autonomy. They each really thought it through. Each child being very intentional about the piece of cake they wanted. And all perfectly content.

At what point do we start sweating so much of the small stuff? At what point does it start to matter how we cut a cake? Apparently never in this house 😂

I hope our kids always feel this about me. I hope they always know that they are respected as humans; not children, and that they know around me they are safe to make their own decisions. Because they know I’m always there to guide them when it’s the big stuff. I hope they know it’s okay to do things your own way. Cut the cake weird. Paint your kitchen door yellow. Create your own job. Just do what makes you happy.

I just really loved doing this for them today. It made me happy to give them that choice. Even though it’s so small. I love being a mom so much. There’s a lot I get wrong. So much. And a lot of my friends think I’m nuts and a whole lot of chaos 😂 but I usually have a reason behind it. Most of the time.

It’s been a beautiful day with my babies. I was really worried about today. I started medicine for my ADHD today. I was worried it would change me too much.

It did.

Today when I was with my babies… I was all the way with them. I wasn’t thinking about work. I didn’t get overwhelmed about the house. I just focused on one thing at a time. If we were outside playing, I was just outside playing. I wasn’t watching them play while I had my laptop out.

I remembered things like their shoes, packing lunch, and sending things to people when I told them I would.

Today was beautiful and what’s even more beautiful is the hope I feel for all the tomorrows.

I didn’t raise my voice or feel overwhelmed once today. And we had a busy, busy day. I had therapy, then we had ASL Club, now we’re at Lilly Belle’s rehearsal. And I just was able to do it all. Without stress or panic. Just did it.

Tonight I’m sitting here at her rehearsal as the Littles play at the playground. We’re doing school in between them playing. I’ve been sitting in the treehouse with them to do school and they’re just so happy that I’m not working.

I’ll work tonight when they go to bed. And I’ll work on the weekends when Matt is home. The world won’t end if I don’t do it *now*. Everything will get done.

I’m really lucky to have a job that allows me to have this time with them. I’m so glad I took the leap to start medicine. I just have a whole lot of hope.

Matt’s like 50 days away from graduating at UCF. I’m on my medicine. Matt’s on his own health journey. We’re just really in a good place. And I feel hope that it’s just all going to be okay. The last few years felt like it was all just going to explode at any second. And today I just feel hope.

Liam has an insane amount of LEGOs! I’ve been looking for a solution to put his kits away once he’s built them and displayed them for a while. He’s 5 and doing really complicated builds, so I’m hoping I can put a bunch away and give them back to him in a year or two for him to build again. This keeps the instructions and pieces all together.
