-36 Weeks of Curriculum. 4-Day Instructional weeks with Friday's saved for "Adventure Friday". 144 total lessons.
-Each day will include a 2-page spread lesson that covers everything: Daily Calendar Time, name writing practice, hands-on reading game (learning to read with objects at home), Daily Reading Roll (reading practice), hands-on math game (learning math with objects at home), instructions for daily gross/fine motor skills, sensory play and a life skill/practical life activity.
-Math and Reading Goal Charts
-Tracing & Handwriting
-Year of Stories Story Log (record of all the books you've read together)
-Outside Play Time Log
-Recommended Book Lists for picture books and chapter books that are wonderful read-alouds for kindergarten.*This curriculum is set up in a way that you as the educator choose what your child will be working on each day. There are a set list of skills that will need to be taught during the school year along with full instructions for activities to teach those skills.
When I think about the year ahead, I feel nothing but JOY! I am sitting here smiling to myself knowing that Lucy, one day Liam, and all of your children who will be using this for kindergarten, get another year to be LITTLE! A year to PLAY. A year of crafts and sidewalk chalk, water balloons and paintings.
